From Frizzy To Ringlets: Curly Hairstyles

Curly hair is the envy of women with straight hair, and those with curly hair envy those with straight. The reason many women who have curly hair (depending on their type of hair) would rather have straight hair is because curly hair is really hard to tame and manage sometimes. However, today has provided women with curls hair products that make their naturally curly hair look healthy and beautiful instead of frizzy and disordered. Technology and science has helped a lot with the new hair products not only being designed specifically for women with curly hair, but there are products specifically designed for different types of curly hair. More women today have stopped hating their unruly locks because of the numerous curl creams, mousse, and de-frizz creams on the market today.

Curly hair has been around since time began, and like with straight hair, curly hair depends on your ancestry and genes. Many people believe that curly hair first originated in Ethiopia and that women in ancient Africa developed curls to block the sun from their scalps. However, there is not a set time for when curly-haired people started, but there are a few times in history where women did drastic things to their hair to get curls. Perming hair so that women could get beautiful curly hair began in the late 1800s and the technique has been perfected since then. Women flocked to get their hair curly in the 1800s and 1900s, and those with straight hair finally were able to get the curls of their dreams. Today, there is a way to straighten your hair permanently, and when this method was invented those with curly hair flocked to them because they finally were able to get that sleek look they always wanted.

Taming unruly, curly hair was once the most tedious task of a women’s day, but with the modern hair products it no longer takes forever to tame your curls. First, wash your hair with a shampoo that it made for your particular curly hair; also you should use conditioner after shampooing and leave in for two minutes before rinsing it out. Dry your hair by patting it down with the towel instead of towel drying it because rubbing it as you do with towel drying will cause fraying and frizz. Use a wide toot comb on your hair to detangle and then massage a curl activating gel through your hair (make sure not to use too much), and then scrunch you hair or twist it to get the curls to come out. Either air-dry or blow-dry your hair after this and then add anti-frizz serum to it, and then lastly use a hair spray to keep it in place.
