The Longer The Better: Long Tresses

Long hair for women was in fashion for the longest time, but then around the 1900s women began cutting their short and ever since short and medium hair has been the style. Recently long tresses have become the new fashion in hair, and they are popular because you can style them any way you want. Long hair on women was around centuries before the 1900s, which it was considered proper to have long hair as a woman, and it was usually styled in different ways. In many cultures, it was improper to let your long hair down in public and so many women wore their hair up in different styles throughout history because of this. Today, more starlets have been seen with long tresses, which has not happened for a couple of years because medium and short hair have been the popular hair for a while.

The many styles you can have with long hair are endless, and there are many things that you can do with long hair that you cannot pull off with short hair. One of these is braids, and today a popular thing to do among women with long hair is a side braid (fishtail, French braid, or just plain plaited). Most short hairstyles are too short for any type of braid, such as the pixie cut or short bob. The best look for long hair is layered tresses because it gives long hair a flowing and free look, and it also volumizes hair to make it look full and thick (to make it like you have more hair than you actually do). Two of the popular ways long hair is worn today are loose curls and plain straight, but, within these two options, there are many options for long tresses.

For some women, they want long hair as a temporary style, but do not want to commit to growing out their hair permanently, or they want long hair fast and do not want to wait for it to grow). Today there is an option for women that never was before, because if you wanted long hair you would have to wait until it grew out – thankfully we have hair extensions today. Hair extensions come in different sizes, so you can change your short hair to medium or long instantly, and there are even different types of extensions (curly, straight, colored, etc.). There are clip-on extensions that only last for the day, and there are long-lasting extensions that you have to have a stylist put in because they stay in for a long period of time.
